Apple releases new iPad Pro: "Yuba" dual camera and keyboard with trackpad

On the evening of March 18th, Beijing time, Apple just updated its official website and officially launched the 2020 iPad Pro. After almost two years, the iPad Pro has finally been updated. The new iPad Pro is equipped with the A12Z bionic chip and is equipped with dual camera.
At the September 2018 new product launch conference, Apple released the full-screen iPad Pro, which is a full-screen iPad from Apple.
In terms of appearance, the 2020 iPad Pro is not much improved compared to the 2018 model, and the screen size is also consistent. It is still available in silver and deep space gray. The new iPad is equipped with 11-inch and 12.9-inch displays, P3 color gamut support, and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The full screen design is still a very modern design today.
A12Z chip brings stronger performance
A whole year last year, Apple did not release a new iPad Pro. As a result, the iPad Pro has remained in 2018, and it is also equipped with an A12X chip that is one generation later than the current one. It is still the most powerful one among all iPad lineups. After nearly two years, the 2020 iPad Pro has finally been updated.
The 2020 iPad Pro uses the new A12Z Bionic chip. Apple said that the new A12Z Bionic is designed to respond to various tasks, and running professional apps is its strength.
Apple officially claims that it has 8 CPU cores and 8 GPU cores, one more GPU core than A12X, which can provide stable performance for 4K video editing, 3D design and augmented reality. In addition, Apple has strengthened the thermal design of the SoC, so that this processor can run longer at the highest performance, with a nominal battery life of 10 hours.
In terms of connectivity, the iPad Pro has also been enhanced, it supports Wi-Fi 6, and the cellular model supports gigabit LTE network access.
Added ultra wide-angle lens
All previous series of iPads were rear-mounted single-shot. This is the first time that the more mature camera system on a mobile phone can be transplanted to the new iPad Pro.
The new iPad Pro consists of two lenses. One is a wide-angle standard lens with 12 million pixels and a maximum aperture of f / 1.8. The other is an ultra-wide-angle lens with 10 million pixels and a maximum aperture of f / 2.4. Two lenses Both support 4K @ 60fps video shooting.
5 microphones are designed on the fuselage
There is also a major upgrade to the rear lens module, which brings a better radio microphone. The new iPad Pro has 5 microphones on the body to meet professional needs.
Newly added optical radar
A new optical radar (LiDAR) sensor is added to the new iPad Pro (next to the two cameras), which Apple calls the "LiDAR Scanner", which can collect depth information and provide it for ARKit for iOS and other applications that require depth information Relevant data to help them achieve richer functions.
Keyboard with trackpad
In iPadOS 13, Apple added support for mice, and this time, they introduced accessories that can use related features, a new smart keyboard with a touchpad, and support for backlighting, which can also make iPad Pro productive. A lot higher than before.
This keyboard is also a small stand that allows the iPad Pro to be suspended. A USB-C interface is designed on the shaft, which can be used to charge the iPad Pro. Will be available in May.
Starting at 6229 yuan
Price and time to market
The 11-inch 128GB version of the iPad Pro starts at 6,229 yuan; the 12.9-inch 128GB version of the iPad Pro costs 7899 yuan. For the smart keyboard, the 11-inch version is priced at 2399 yuan, and the 12.9-inch version is 2699 yuan. The new iPad Pro has already opened appointments abroad, and domestic needs to wait for approval.
Summary and purchase suggestions:
This time the iPad has significantly improved the lens module, which is hardly ever in iPad history. In the past, people would think that taking photos with a tablet is not as convenient as using a mobile phone, but Apple obviously hopes that the iPad Pro will have more possibilities for taking photos.
Accurately, this update, most of Apple's layout is in advance for AR creation, and more for AR technology services.
The new "Yuba" dual camera certainly improves the camera, but whether you will use the iPad Pro to take pictures should also be weighed.
After the launch of the 2020 iPad Pro, the price of the old iPad Pro will definitely be reduced. If you have no high demand for taking photos with the iPad, it is just simple video entertainment. Consider the more cost-effective old iPad Pro.
